Conference Introduction:

Many complex networks in the real world are complex networks with small-world or scaleless characteristics: from brain structures in organisms to various metabolic networks, from the Internet to WWW, from large power networks to global transportation networks, from scientific research cooperation networks to various political, economic, and social networks. At present, the research of various networks has received great attention in the world, forming an increasing upsurge, and has become an extremely important and challenging frontier scientific research direction. In order to promote the academic and working exchanges of researchers in related fields of complex network research at home and abroad, discuss the latest progress and development trend of complex network research, and promote complex network research in China, the 2006 National Conference on Complex Networks was held in Central China Normal University from November 16 to 19, 2006. The conference conducted extensive academic exchanges on the research and application of complex networks, and invited well-known experts at home and abroad to give invited reports.
